Broccoli With Cheddar Vinaigrette Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Olive oil |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | White wine vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Water |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Hot pepper sauce |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Coarsely-grated Cheddar cheese |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste | ||
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Broccoli - cut long florets |
In a blender blend together the oil, vinegar, water, Hot pepper sauce, Cheddar, and salt and pepper to taste until the vinaigrette is smooth.
In a small saucepan bring 1-inch of water to a boil and in it cook the broccoli, covered, over high heat for 4 to 5 minutes, or until it is crisp tender. Drain the broccoli well and serve it topped with the vinaigrette.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
