Ginger Beurre Blanc Recipe - Cooking Index
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Chopped shallots |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Dry white wine |
1/2 cup | 118ml | White wine vinegar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Grated fresh ginger |
1 | Butter - chilled, and | |
Cut into 8 pieces | ||
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
In a saucepan combine shallots, wine, vinegar and ginger and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until liquid is reduced to a syrup. Swirl chilled butter into syrup one piece at a time. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
This recipe yields 1/2 cup.
