Green Chile Salsa Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 lb | 340g / 11oz | Tomatillos |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Onion - finely chopped (small) |
1 | Serrano chile - finely chopped | |
1 | Yellow chile - finely chopped (small) | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Freshly-squeezed lemon juice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Garlic cloves - minced (medium) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped cilantro |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
Put tomatillos into a pan with water to cover and bring to a boil. Simmer gently for 10 minutes. Drain, cool, and core.
Cut tomatillos into small dice or finely chop in a food processor fitted with the steel blade. Place in bowl.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and refrigerate.
This recipe yields 2 1/2 cups of salsa.
