Alsatian Tart Dough Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Unsalted butter |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Salt |
3 | Eggs - room temperature | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Vanilla extract |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Grated orange zest |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Flour |
Cream the butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time and beat until smooth after each addition. Add the vanilla and orange zest, then stir in the flour. Using a spatula, smooth the batter into the tart pan, pushing it up against the edges to make a slight rim. Fill and bake per recipe directions.
