Turkey Asparagus Melt Recipe - Cooking Index
1/4 cup | 59ml | Mayonnaise or salad dressing |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Dijon mustard |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dried sage leaves - crushed |
3 | Sourdough hoagie buns or hoagie buns - split lengthwise (about 6-inch length) | |
3/4 lb | 340g / 11oz | Sliced cooked turkey |
1 | Ca green giant extra long - drained tender green asparagus spears | |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Red onion rings |
1 1/2 cups | 219g / 7.7oz | Shredded Colby - Monterey jack blend cheese or cheddar cheese |
In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, mustard and sage; mix well. Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons mixture on each bun half. Top each with one-sixth of turkey, asparagus spears, onion rings and cheese.
Place sandwiches on broiler pan. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat 3 to 4 minutes or until thoroughly heated and cheese is bubbly.
