Turkey Almond Stir Fry Recipe - Cooking Index

Tenderloins | ||
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Onion thinly sliced (medium) |
1 | Celery cut into thin | |
Slice | ||
2 cups | 474ml | Sliced mushrooms |
1 | Pea pods - (6 oz.) | |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Chicken broth |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cornstarch |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Soy sauce |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground ginger |
1/3 cup | 30g / 1.1oz | Toasted slivered almonds |
Cut turkey into 1-inch cubes. Salt and pepper lightly to taste. Spray cooking spray in large skillet or wok. Add oil. Heat oil until hot over med-high heat. Add turkey. Stir-fry until no longer pink, about 3 min. Add onion and celery; stir fry 1 min. Add mushrooms; stir fry 1 min. Add pea pods, stir fry 1 min. Longer. Mix broth, cornstarch, soy sauce and ginger.
Stir into turkey mixture. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 min. Top with almonds.
Serve with rice.
