Barbecued Or Broiled Shrimp Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Extra large raw shrimp - in the shell |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Onion - , sliced (small) |
1 | Fresh ginger - , sliced | |
1 | Garlic - , mashed | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Soy sauce |
1 cup | 237ml | Lemon - , juiced (medium) |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Red wine vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt - , or to taste |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly ground black pepper |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Salad oil |
Shell and clean the shrimp (this is easily done with scissors). Leave shrimp raw.
Combine remaining ingredients and place shrimp in this marinade for at least 2 to 3 hours.
Drain shrimp and place on metal or bamboo skewers, 2 to 3 shrimp on each.
Place on a barbecue grill or under the broiler for about 2 minutes on each side.
