Barbecued Or Broiled Shrimp

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozExtra large raw shrimp - in the shell
1 lb 454g / 16ozOnion - , sliced (small)
1   Fresh ginger - , sliced
1   Garlic - , mashed
1/4 cup 59mlSoy sauce
1 cup 237mlLemon - , juiced (medium)
1/3 cup 78mlRed wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt - , or to taste
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlFreshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon 15mlSugar
1 1/2 cups 355mlSalad oil

Recipe Instructions

Shell and clean the shrimp (this is easily done with scissors). Leave shrimp raw.

Combine remaining ingredients and place shrimp in this marinade for at least 2 to 3 hours.

Drain shrimp and place on metal or bamboo skewers, 2 to 3 shrimp on each.

Place on a barbecue grill or under the broiler for about 2 minutes on each side.
