Nifty Thrifty Chicken Casserole Recipe - Cooking Index
8 oz | 227g | Dry uncooked noodles |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Margarine |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Celery salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Torn spinach - 8 cups |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Chopped cooked chicken |
Turkey - ham | ||
OR 2 cans drained tuna | ||
1 1/2 cups | 219g / 7.7oz | Cottage cheese |
1 | Jar | |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Shredded cheddar cheese |
Pimiento - drained, chopped |
Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain. Add margarine, celery salt and pepper. Toss lightly. In large bowl combine noodles, spinach, meat, mushrooms, cottage cheese, pimiento and Cheddar cheese.
Spoon into 3 qt. casserole. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 F. Stir 2-3 times while cooking so spinach doesn't dry out.
