Awabi Sakami (Sweet Cooked Abalone) Recipe - Cooking Index
15 oz | 426g | Abalone - (canned) |
2 1/2 tablespoons | 37ml | Sake |
2 1/2 teaspoons | 12ml | Soy sauce |
1/4 | Water | |
1 oz | 28g | Sugar |
Empty the can of Abalone into a small saucepan and add water. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Add Sake and Sugar and cook for another 5 minutes, stir in Soya sauce and continue to cook for 2-3 more minutes.
Cool to room temperature, cut the abalone into 1/2" thick slices and serve.
