Hot Spaghetti Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground chicken - or |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Turkey |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Olive oil |
2 | Onions chopped | |
4 | Crushed garlic cloves or | |
1 | Tomato sauce | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | White wine - (optional) |
1 | Sweet green pepper | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dried leaf basil |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Leaf sage |
Heat oil in a large saucepan set over medium heat. Add ground chicken or turkey to pan along with onions. Stir frequently with a fork until meat loses most of its pink color. Add Tomato sauce and white wine. Simmer or 5 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients. Saute for 2 minutes. Cover and bring to a boil, stirring often. Then, reduce heat and simmer, stirring often for at least 5 min.
