Hearty Split-Pea Soup Recipe - Cooking Index
| Leftover chopped turkey ham | ||
| 1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Split peas | 
| 2 | Thinly sliced carrots | |
| 1 | Onion - chopped (medium) | |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Allspice | 
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper | 
| 1 | Bay leaf | 
Heat leftover ham, peas, carrots, onion and 7 cups of water in Dutch oven.
Heat to boiling then reduce heat and simmer for 3-4 hours or until peas are soft. Remove bay leaf and serve.
Makes 10 1-cup servings.
