Recipe Ingredients

1/2 lb 227g / 8ozChickpea flour (Besan)
1 teaspoon 5mlSalt
1 teaspoon 5mlRed chile powder
1 teaspoon 5mlCoriander seeds - powder
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlBaking soda
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlBlack pepper
1 teaspoon 5mlEgg - beaten (medium)
1 teaspoon 5mlOnion - chopped fine (medium)
1 teaspoon 5mlPotato - cut into 1/4" cubes (large)
  Oil for deep frying
  Water - to make paste
  Optional ingredients:
  Spinach, eggplant, cabbage, fresh chiles

Recipe Instructions

Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl and add enough water to make a paste. Mix well.

Take spoonful at a time from the bowl of paste and deep fry it in hot oil until golden brown.
