Bhindi Ki Sabji - Curried Okra

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozOkra - cut 1 inch lenghts
2 lbs 908g / 32ozOnion - minced (medium)
4 tablespoons 60mlVegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlCumin seeds
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlTurmeric
1/3 teaspoon 1.7mlGround red pepper
2 teaspoons 10mlGround coriander
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlGraram masala
  Salt - to taste

Recipe Instructions

Wash and cut okra. Heat 4 tablespoons salid oil and fry cumin seeds a second, add onions and cook for 10 minutes, until ligh brown. Add okra, turmeric, red pepper, coriander and salt. Mix. Cover and cook over medium for 10 minutes. Add garam masala and cook covered for another 10 minutes.
