Grilled Baby Octopus - {Jjukkumi}

Recipe Ingredients

2 lbs 908g / 32ozBaby octopus - (16 to 25 pieces) - fresh or thawed
  Salt - to taste
1/2   Onion - minced
1/2   Red bell pepper - minced
3   Garlic cloves - (to 4) - minced
2 tablespoons 30mlSoy sauce
1 tablespoon 15mlKorean sesame oil
1 teaspoon 5mlKorean red chile powder
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlFreshly-ground black pepper

Recipe Instructions

Clean octopus. Sprinkle octopus with salt to taste and rub on for about a minute. Rinse in cold water. Drain. Repeat. Pat dry with paper towels.

Combine onion, bell pepper, garlic, soy sauce, oil, chile powder and pepper in bowl. Coat octopus generously with seasoning. Grill over medium-high heat, moving around grill so octopus cooks evenly, 3 to 4 minutes.

This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
