Bean-Cheese Pie ( 5 PTS)

Recipe Ingredients

3/4 cup 46g / 1.6ozAll-purpose flour
1 cup 146g / 5.1ozShredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlBaking powder
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt
1/3 cup 78mlMilk
1   Egg - slightly beaten
15 1/2 oz 440gGarbanzo beans - drained
15 oz 426gKidney beans - drained
8 oz 227gTomato sauce
1/2 cup 73g / 2.6ozChopped green bell pepper (about 1 small)
1/4 cup 15g / 0.5ozChopped onion (about 1 small)
2 teaspoons 10mlChili powder
2 teaspoons 10mlFresh oregano

1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlDried oregano leaves
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlGarlic powder

Recipe Instructions

Heat oven to 375º. Spray pie plate, 10 × 1 1/2 inches, with nonstick

cooking

spray. Mix flour, 1/2 cup of the cheese, the baking powder and salt in

medium bowl. Stir in milk and egg until blended. Spread over bottom and up

sides of pie plate.

Mix remaining ingredients except 1/2 cup cheese. Spoon into pie plate;

sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake uncovered about 25 minutes or until

edge is puffy and light brown. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
