Sour Cream Chile Bake Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground beef - or ground turkey |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Chopped onion - (opt.) |
1 | Kidney beans - drained | |
1 | Tomato sauce | |
1 | Taco seasoning mix - (1-1/4 oz.) | |
4 oz | 113g | Cheddar cheese - shredded, (1 cup) or more |
3 1/2 cups | 218g / 7.7oz | Corn chips |
1 1/4 cups | 296ml | Sour cream |
In a large skillet, cook ground beef & onion until meat is browned & onion is tender. Then drain. Stir in beans, tomatoe sauce, taco seasoning mix, & 3/4 c cheese. Sprinkle 2-1/2 c corn chips in bottom of 8x8x2 inch baking dish. Cover chips w/beef mixture.
Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes. Spread sour cream over chile. Top with remaining corn chips and cheese. Bake 3 to 4 minutes longer.
