1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground cloves |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Butter or margarine |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
1 cup | 237ml | Cream |
2 | Eggs | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Vanilla |
1 cup | 237ml | Mashed bananas |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped walnuts |
Frosting Ingredients | ||
2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Sifted powdered sugar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Mashed banana |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Softened butter |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Vanilla |
Cookies: Stir the dry ingredients together. In mixing bowl beat butter or margarine until smooth. Add sugar and cream. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Add dry ingredients and bananas. Stir in walnuts. Drop onto well greased cookie sheet 2 in. apart. Bake in preheated oven at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheet immediately, cool on wire rack. Frost with Banana Buter frosting if desired. Frosting: Stir together powdered sugar, mashed banana, butter, and vanilla. Mix well. If necessary add more powdered sugar to achieve spreading consistency.
